We make what we want to… some odd and some traditional, but all unique. Each wine driven by intention, though allowing the process to be open to the magic of the vineyard site and wine making style.

Working with well farmed grapes is always our first goal and Santa Barbara County offers a beautifully diverse group of sites to explore and connect with. We are proud to work with many talented owners and farmers from our area. We source grapes from sites including, Eberhard Ranch, Watch Tower Vineyard, Estelle Vineyard, Rogue Hill Vineyard, Tierra Alta Vineyard, , White Hawk Vineyard, Watch Hill Vineyard, Mora Vineyard, Culpo di Fortuna and Valley View Vineyard.

SIMPLICITY IN THE CELLAR

Our wine making style always endeavors to correlate and continue the hard work accomplished in the vineyard. Simplicity in the cellar means minimal interventions, allowing the wine to lead the journey by connecting to rhythms in the process, less is more with limited inputs, minimal oak influence and no magic nerd dusts or short cut goos added. We always prefer gravity for moving wine whenever possible. What ever it takes to do less… “lazy” wine making, but not flawed. Important to this, is finding sites with farmers and grapes that are “naturally stable”. Nothing to fix or reverse in the cellar. Traditional single vineyard wines as well as dedicated blends where the proportions and grapes are typically being decided before the grapes are ever harvested. The results are pure, expressive and honest wines we hope you will enjoy.
